GERRY (USA) Vintage early 70's Mountaineering Hiking Alpinist External Frame Rucksack Backpack w/ adjustable hip belt. This is the coolest backpack ever. Like one I owned in the 1970's only a cooler color. Love this amazing blue. Has gentle wear from use and age. See pics for proof of condition. Very rare collectible pack with lots of beauty and function for either using as awesome display / props / restoration / or trail use. The condition is remarkable - because even the snaps, seams, zippers, material and frame are in great shape for fifty years! I mean, even the pins and retainers for the frame are still present, and the straps and snaps that hold the cover down are in good shape and work. The belt that goes around your hips is present and in good shape too. See pics for the description and condition. There are four nice size side pouches. It has a very large zippered lower pocket on the front, and a smaller zippered pocket above it on the front. The top load inside main pocket is very large and is covered with the strapped down flap. This is a great find - don't miss it. The pack only weighs about 2.5 lbs and the backpack part measures approx. 24" x 16" x 8" when fully stuffed. The frame is 32" tall x 16" wide. Non smoking home. Note: compare the price of the few others that sold on e Bay for $139-$144 and you will find that their condition is not nearly as nice as this one. They have missing parts and ripped seams. This one is much nicer and solid as can be.
