This position will develop and implement communication strategies to inform, engage, and educate the public and stakeholders about initiatives, policies, programs, and products provided by SAPA Transmission.
This role collaborates with other departments, officials, and community partners to ensure effective communication and public relations efforts.
In addition, this role coordinates and represents SAPA Transmission at events and expos with an emphasis on promoting our organization.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute communication strategies that align our goals with those of local and state government agencies.
Engage, coordinate, and represent SAPA Transmission at government events and meetings, emphasizing and promoting SAPA Transmission, and fostering relationships with government and industry entities.
Create engaging content such as press releases, presentations, videos, and social media posts utilizing various channels to enhance communication efforts.
Facilitate community engagement, and cultivate positive relationships with local and state government, as well as OEMs and subcontractors.
Create and maintain the company's social media presence, including content creation, sharing job opportunities, and engaging with followers.
Coordinate, attend and represent the company at Department of Defense events, trade shows, and other marketing events; including facilitating arrangements for booth set-up and tear down; and staffing at booth throughout event.
Remain current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in communications.
Plays a vital role in promoting transparency, building public trust, and fostering community engagement within government agencies and industry agencies including the Chamber of Commerce, MEDC, WID, and NDIA.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, or related field.
Proven experience in communications, preferably in a similar role or industry.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and creativity.
Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms, including social media management, email marketing, content management systems, and analytics tools.
Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Represent the company in professional associations and organizations.
