The Quality Assurance Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards before they are released to customers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA/QC and quality management, with the ability to analyze and interpret data accurately.
Job Purpose:
Adhere to company policy and procedures and acts as a role model within the company.
Performs duties as workload necessitates and maintains a positive and respectful attitude.
Communicate regularly with Supervisors about department issues.
Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
Consistently reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of position.
Meets departmental productivity standards.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Arrive on the plant floor before shift changes to confer prior shift's Quality Inspector regarding the status of production parts currently being ran any new quality alerts that may have been issued.
Perform first shot inspections, in-process inspections, and last shot inspections according to written instructions.
Examines material or product for defects.
Compares product with first shot to insure consistency of production.
Verifies specified dimensions.
Rejects defective parts, marks type of defect on part, container, or inspection tag.
Verify labels, packaging, and manufactured parts throughout the shift.
Perform moisture checks on resins.
Perform weekly layered process audits.
Train new operators on part quality, packaging & labeling in accordance with work instructions.
Comprehend and possess the capability to explain Quality Alerts, Inspection Instructions, and Job Specific Instructions, along with understanding the purpose of the PPH Boards and data used to populate them.
If help is required, relieve other operators for their breaks and lunch period.
If help is required, help in containment.
Maintain housekeeping standards in your work area in accordance with housekeeping guidelines.
Ensure all paperwork pertaining to the shift's quality status is completed, submitted, and filed in a timely manner.
Perform other tasks per management's request.
Adherence to all MIOSHA safety requirements.
Compensation:
The hourly rate is determined by previous experience and work background.
Qualifications, Experience, Education and Licenses High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Proficiency in understanding basic instructions and memos.
Strong communication aptitude, enabling effective interaction with colleagues and immediate supervisor.
Competence in performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers.
Application of practical judgment and critical thinking capabilities for resolving challenges and being able to execute detailed written or spoken directives.
Recognition of appropriate safety protocols.
