This is a part-time position with no late work days and no weekends! We are a fast-growing, family owned and operated, Childcare Center specializing in providing early education for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.
As we continue to expand, we are looking for a dependable individual with a desire to provide meals for our little learners and make a difference every day! This is an entry level position that involves preparing and serving food to the children of our center while ensuring proper food handling and sanitation methods to maintain cleanliness and safety of kitchen/equipment.
Must follow menu provided by the Director and serve meals according to the daily schedule.
Responsibilities for Kitchen Support include:
Prepare meals for children and distribute food to classrooms according to the scheduled time for breakfast and lunch while following menu provided by the Director Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order more when needed Receive and store all food items according to health standards Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of all kitchen equipment Upkeep with dishwashing and cleaning in between meal times Qualifications for Kitchen Support include:
Experience cooking for large groups is preferred, but willing to train! Ability to follow a daily menu and prepare sufficient quantity of food Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and materials Familiarity with proper food storage and safe food handling Ability to understand the needs of children with food allergies Food Handler's Certificate is a plus, but not required Benefits offered by Little Learners include:
