oPrepare patient(s) for and assist with examination and/or treatmentoPerform triage and obtain vital signsoObtain and timely and accurately document patient history in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)oCollect and maintain all patient and business documents while always maintaining confidentialityoCollect routine laboratory specimens including phlebotomy, urinalysis and/or oral swabsoAdminister medications and non-intravenous injections (intramuscular, subcutaneous and/or intradermal) oStart an IV, place a catheter and perform splinting when needed/directedoPerform various other clinical, aseptic and/or basic laboratory proceduresoDocument within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) all medical interventions timely and accuratelyoTrain and assist with our Occupational Medicine service line utilizing our current EMR system, drug screening, breath alcohol testing, audiograms, respiratory fit, pulmonary function testing and/or abiding by the systems and/or protocols set forth by WellStreetoUnderstand and enforce standard health care regulatory requirementsoResponsible for quality assurance program for compliance with CLIA waived laboratory and patient result trackersoAlways ensure HIPAA and OSHA complianceoPerform office procedures including all general administrative duties; ability to operate all office medical equipmentoRequired to travel to various locations as needed based on staffing and volumeoOther duties as assignedEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT &
Qualifications:
A qualified candidate for this role must possess one (1) of the following:
oSuccessful completion of a MA, LPN, EMT, RN or X-Ray Technology program from an accredited institution ORoTwo years of relevant healthcare experience; urgent care or emergency department ORoPossess a Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA etc.
)oWe are willing to train new, stellar graduates!oMust be proficient in venipuncture and injections.
oMust have knowledge of clinical procedures, medical anatomy, and physiology.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
oRequired to work 12 hours shifts, weekends and holidaysoRequired to sit, walk, reach with hands and arms throughout workdayoFinger dexterity and hand coordination required oOccasionally required to lift moderate weight (20-40 pounds)oSpecific vision abilities required including close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust or focus Recommended Skills Anatomy Asepsis Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor Clinical Works Confidentiality Finger Dexterity Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
