Duties and responsibilities Duties and responsibilities include below tasks and other supporting functions to accomplish the same:
Lead and direct build team members and serve as technical lead in assigned projects and jobs.
Plan and assign work to project resources, implement policies and procedures, and recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.
Coordinate activities with electromechanical team leads, project engineers, and engineering departments for the optimal build sequence and cost efficiency.
Evaluate progress, resources assigned capabilities, and report on assembly open points and corrective actions.
Ensure company policies, rules, regulations, and procedures are followed.
Assist management in the hiring, training, counseling/discipline, performance appraisal, and assigning/prioritizing all work for the assembly project Promote effective employee relations.
Provide support in employee coaching and development.
Actively resolve employee issues through a problem-resolution process with the human resources department.
Provide effective handover and support of the project to the service and installation team.
Lead closing tasks on the floor, including material disposition of the project in coordination with the inventory planner.
Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, morale, and continuous improvement activities to achieve positive results anytime possible.
Conduct individual and team coaching sessions to improve performance.
Recognize team accomplishments.
Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
Qualifications Minimum education requirements:
High school diploma with specialized training in equipment manufacturing.
Preferred Education:
College diploma and manufacturing.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of previous related experience in an assembly manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive manufacturing industry.
Additional Skills:
Microsoft Office Software experience Working conditions This position requires work in a shop floor environment.
Physical requirements This position requires using computers and other office equipment with minimal supervision.
Use of power tools and other devices within ergonomic guidelines.
Direct reports This position reports directly to Manager, Assembly.
